Keyword Search
Simple Keyword searching that matches Titles that contain ALL the Search Terms supplied.

Titles with the complete phrase Native American would be returned.
"Native American" OR "American Indian"
Titles with either the phrase Native American or American Indian would be returned.

Only matches for America would be returned, while American and un-american would not.

Seatches for titles that contain ANY if the Search Terms supplied
Modifiers are allowed in your Search Terms to control the Titles matched, and how they are ranked.

Find Titles that contain at least one of the two words.

Find Titles that contain both words.

Find Titles that contain the word Benjamin, but rank Titles higher if they also contain Franklin.

Find Titles that contain the word Benjamin but not Franklin.

Find Titles that contain the words George and Washingto, but if the Title also contains the word Carver, rate it lower than if Title does not.
This is "softer" than a search for +George +Washington -Carver, for which the presence of Carver causes the Title not to be returned at all.

Find Titles that contain the words World and War, or World and History, but rank World War higher than World History.

Find Titles that contain words such as america, american, americas, or americus.
"some words"
Find Titles that contain the exact phrase some words (for example, Titles that contain some words of wisdom but not some noise words). Note that the " characters that enclose the phrase are operator characters that delimit the phrase. They are not the quotation marks that enclose the search string itself.

  • Number of times the search term appears in the Title
  • Sum of all terms in the same Title
  • Number of Unique terms in the Title
  • Total number of Titles searched
  • Number of Titles that contain the term
